Our newest single, Flores, is out in the world! This song emerged from a daylong immersion with a long-time mentor that had Emilie Basez contemplating the concept of wandering in circles—not as a sign of repetition, but as a journey of returning to parts of ourselves with new awareness. On a road trip through New Mexico, a place she has traveled many times, the song captured a new feeling when Basez played the new song inside of a light sanctuary, where large prisms in place of windows scattered rainbows across the white chapel walls. The song vibrated within the sacred space and created a familiar sense of presence, like returning to a moment, a feeling, a place but it’s never quite the same, but rather bathed in new light. New Music! This February, we came together in Boulder, Colorado, and finished recording this song as well as a few others that we will share with you soon!
